Our approach is consultative in nature. We endeavor to understand our clients business to the same degree as they do. By taking this approach we are able to look at the business as you would but, also with an objective outside eye. This objectivity provides opportunities to ascertain opportunities, threats, and issues before they arrive and to work with you to prepare for identified opportunities, avoid potential issues, and navigate potential threats. Our objective is to work with you to be as pro‐active as possible in the management of your respective business. There are 3 stages of development that we aim to cover:

The business environment is evolving. As such, small to mid‐sized businesses have greater demands on them to be more efficient in the services that they provide while not sacrificing service and quality. This has provided an opportunity for a service organization to step in a fill a void of great need by these organizations. As a result, we have developed an array of services that make managing your small to mid‐sized business easier.

We currently provide services to small to mid‐sized business in the South Florida market as well as California and South America. We work with our clients to aid them in the growth of their business by identifying opportunities and developing strategies to capitalize on them. We also identify potential weaknesses within our client firm’s and work with them to overcome them. We provide a variety of services to our clients including: accounting, quarterly and annual tax filing, payroll, retirement planning, and health benefits. With our range of services, we can serve as your firm’s bookkeeper or entire accounting and finance department.

Beyond working with small businesses, not‐for‐profits, and churches, we are also pursuing

Taxes
This is an area that often poses the greatest stress and difficulty for organizations large and small; most especially in the not‐for‐profit arena. Not‐for‐profit entities are required to
ensure adherence to their organizational bylaws to ensure IRS compliance. Also, changes to the Form 990 is requiring a greater level of reporting to determine whether or not the
organization is staying true to its organizational objectives and benefiting those it is charged to benefit. We have the technology and research capabilities to provide extensive tax analysis, consulting, and reporting for you. We provide corporate and individual tax preparation services as well as tax planning for businesses and individuals. We also work diligently to ensure that each of our clients maintains compliance with all taxing authorities so as to not interrupt business continuity.

We have access to over one thousand databases and over one million research papers and best business practices. Our analytical services encompass functional processes designed to help propel your organization forward. These processes can involve Technical Analysis, 6 Economic Analysis, Legal Studies, Operational Analysis, and Scheduling Analysis (TELOS Model), SWOT, and Six Sigma.
Accounting
The accounting services provided by Blake & Associates range from simple to comprehensive and are completely determined by our assessment of the potential client and the needs as explained by the client. Simple services can include any accounting function, such as: payroll, accounts receivables/payables management, and monthly reconciliations. Our comprehensive services are what set us apart from our competition. We provide a thorough service that allows us to oversee the total financial management process for our clients. With this service, our clients are able to leverage our firm to achieve greater productivity in theirs. As well, the technology employed by our firm affords greater efficiency in the management of our client affairs which leads to greater productivity for them. Whichever level of service taken you can be comfortable in knowing that we are diligent about performing all tasks related to helping you manage your firm. Audit
Blake & Associates has significant experience in performing Financial Statement Audits, Internal Audits, and Fraud Audits. One of our significant accomplishments was in recovering over $700, 000 for the Air Force during several fraud audits, arising out of employee theft of assets and major financial frauds. Fraud schemes were unknown to management. However, we uncovered fraudulent activities by investigating several anomalies, and gathering evidence of fraud through observation, undercover work, and participation in the operation. We can work with clients in benchmarking their performances and implementing the changes necessary for improved operating and financial performance. Key Leadership
André C. McAden, CPA Candidate (Managing Director) Mr. McAden is a graduate of Florida A&M University with a degree in Business Administration. He is also a graduate of the Keller Graduate School of Management at Devry University with a Master’s in Accounting and Financial Management. Mr. McAden has developed an expertise in ascertaining inefficiencies for clients and developing strategies to improve operations. Projects led by Mr. McAden have resulted in the uncovering of fraud, an improvement in pricing strategies, increased profitability, and increased organizational efficiencies. Some of these projects have included advising on acquisitions, recommending better technology, and improving internal controls for clients.

With over 8 years of experience, Mr. McAden has developed a loyal client‐base that seeks out his insightful guidance to help them improve their current operations. His successful track record includes financial and systems analysis, communication, team building and leadership training, and customer relationship management. He has also provided operational and analytical assessments of clients, in addition to providing training services from small to largesize groups.

Mr. McAden is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA). Mr. McAden was recently appointed to the Committee on Non‐Profit Organizations by the FICPA as well as the Committee on Financial Literacy by the FICPA. Mr. McAden also serves on many boards throughout Broward County including: Central Charter School, Financial Secretary of The Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Zeta Alpha Lambda Chapter, and Vice‐Chair of the Investment Advisory Committee for the City of Tamarac to name a few.

Ray McGhee, CPA Mr. McGhee graduated from Florida A&M University with a Bachelor’s in Mathematical Science. He also obtained his MBA with emphasis in Accounting and Finance from Florida A&M University. Mr. McGhee has a broad financial background that consists of experience in improving operational and financial processes. He is an alumnus of Deloitte & Touche LLP, and has worked on a plethora of notable clients such as the Miami Dolphins, Mayor’s Jewelers, and Baptist Health Systems to name.
With over 10 years of experience in public and private industry, Mr. McGhee has developed a loyal client‐base that ranges from small businesses to individual clients. Some of the services that he has successfully performed consist of: financial statement audits, documenting and testing internal controls, financial statement preparation, financial statement analysis, small business tax return preparation, individual tax return preparation, and various other business services. Mr. McGhee has experience in working with the following industries: construction, entertainment, healthcare, retail, telecommunications, non‐profit, and the casual dining and fast food hamburger restaurant.
Mr. McGhee is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Romeo Allison, CPA Candidate Mr. Allison has accumulated over 15 years of experience, spanning the fields of public sector accounting, industry, commerce, and public practice. His specialist area however, has been in the field of external auditing as well as corporate taxation. He has served as a Senior Accountant with “Big 5” auditing firms such as Deloitte, and has worked on joint venture audits with the “Big 5” auditing firm KPMG, and national CPA firm, McGladrey & Pullen. Mr. Allison holds an Associate Degree in Computer Information Science, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He is also pursuing simultaneous designations: the Chartered Accountant qualification of the United Kingdom, and the Certified Public Accountant qualification of the United States of America.
